About Me
Hi, I'm Ben!
I’m a teacher, technology integrator, digital learning champion, writer, photographer, poet, and enthusiastic consumer of banana-flavored things.
Welcome to Learn•Teach•Tech.
I've spent 20+ years in Minneapolis classrooms and higher education chasing one idea: technology works best when it disappears into great teaching. Not technology for technology's sake, but technology so well integrated into learning that students stop noticing the tools and start noticing what they're capable of.
I've taught AVID, led district-wide technology integration across 60+ schools in Minneapolis Public Schools, coached teachers, designed curriculum, and currently work as a Reading Intervention teacher at Northeast Middle School while teaching Technology in Education at the college level. I think about teaching constantly.
This blog is where I think out loud.
But not always about teaching.
Sometimes I wander. I take photos. I write poetry. I dabble in hobbies I may or may not stick with. And I seek out banana-flavored everything with a dedication that some might call concerning; I call it passionate.
That's what the Side Quests are for.
