I Yelled.

Horrible.  I'm not going to sleep well tonight.  Eleven days into the school year.

I yelled at a student.

I'll apologize tomorrow.  No human deserves to be yelled at.

I just deleted most of this post because it was rambling.

What is your best classroom management strategy?

  1. You are human and we make mistakes. To answer your question...if you are ever in the situation again, which I am sure you will be...take a deep breath or walk away. I have learned from experience that reacting does no good for anyone. I realized that students may not remember the content that we teach them, but they will remember how we treated them forever. Hang in there...the sun shines today and you have another day to make it better. :)
